I have a 2001 GMC truck with the 5.3 l engine. Do throttle body spacers increase torque and horsepower on this type of engine? If so, what happens to fuel economy? I'd like a little more torque for towing.
Thanks,

| I put a poweraid throtle body spacer pn my 1996 chevy tahoe. It made a whisleing sound at a certain throtle position and did nothing for power or milage, very disopointed. What did help power was a Granitelly mass air flow sensor, and an electric cooling fan. |

| Throttle body spacers dont do anything unless if you've got TBI (throttly body injection), which is like an electronic carb, so to speak. |
