i want to dampen all my vibrations in my supra, from the road as well as my stereo
system. i
was thinking of dynamat, but i was looking for a cheaper alternative. i heard of some
rubberized undercoating used in roofing such as ice guard and fire and ice. is there a
good
alternative to dynamat. could i purchase it at home depot? |

Don't do that to your car. Products @ the homecenter aren't meant to take the beating
and
when they start to come off it's going to be really ugly |

the rubberized undercoating you could use for under your car.. the dampening sheets will
work, as long as you apply it properly.. however, they do STINK.. your car will STINK
of asphalt for days.. maybe even weeks... if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to
dynamat supposedly there are sheets at mcmaster.com that are very similar, and have no
smell.
there's also a product called b-quiet , has a bit of a smell but not that bad.. |
